“Explore the ways in which we can shape technology and technology can shape us. During the 2001 workshop program, 22 participants from 13 Japanese companies created and visualized ideas for products that would reflect the convergence of electronic functionality with the emotional expression of fashion design. Among their ideas are these pictured here:
-Pulse Necklace and Bracelet: Jewelry that pulses in reaction to the wearer’s body rhythms
-Hole in the Body: A camera pointing out the front of the shirt sends an image to an LCD panel on the back
-Make-up Light: Adds light to the makeup routine
-Bag with Interior Light: Interior of bag lights up when opened
-Solar Sunglasses: Beautiful solar panels do double duty, blocking sun and storing power
-Tachometer: The shoe records data about distance walked “( IDEO Corporate Web site )
