Portuguese Nacional Coach Museum - IPM

December 12th, 2006
The Portuguese Institute of Museums launched a challenge to the Silver Biennial Association - to create objects inspired in colections of the museums. I have created a colection of cuff links in sterling silver re-interpreting the elements of the "Oceans Coache", the "Coache of D. Maria Francisca Benedita" and the "Exchange of the Princesses Coache". The line of simplification of the drawing is centered in details of the coache’s wheels to catch it’s movement. This projects was produced by the company Flamingo S.A..

Selected for IV Trends Show “El Séptimo Arte”

September 15th, 2006

Selected for IV Trends Show "El Séptimo Arte", in the category "Diva in Black and White", with the "military" belt "Tweed Film", for Iberjoya.

For the divas of silver screen, my proposal is based on “Tweed” black & white film. Based on the “Tweed” cloth developed during the 40’s, I have adapted the same principle with sterling silver. Based in the military style (World War II), present in films such as Casablanca.

This piece tries to catch this moment: “Play it Sam”.

Honorable mention in World-wide Competition Design Boom

September 16th, 2004
Project "H2O - On the table" awarded with honorable mention in the World-wide Competition, Design Boom - Macef Design Award 2004, Milan.
Developed with Filipa Cerveira Pinto and Mónica Santos

How can we catch water? H2O is a no form, mobile, flexible, uncatchable material. … so, how can we catch water?
By giving skin! The idea is to transfer and adapt the water characteristics, which will not define a container, but a "dressed water". The object has a conceived pre form, flexible with low expansion, so it fisical form is moulded by users, to became a "touchable water". This "free" form has a hole which allows an interaction with the user and the environment. It can be used for holding or it can be hang, for instance, if there isn’t enough space on the table.

The purpose is to catch the water skin, or the water itself.
